Maison Veuve Ambal became one of the main patrons of the Nicéphore Niépce Museum in Chalon-sur-Saône. Through its support for the museum's acquisition policy it has helped the photography museum expand its collections.
Since 2011, Veuve Ambal's premises have been the setting for exhibitions of photos from the Nicéphore Niépce Museum's collections. Three times a year it presents exhibitions, so each visit is a new experience. These range from portraits to adverts; colour photos from the first Autochromes to 1960s America; from patriotic postcards from the Great War to amateur holiday snaps; from the illustrated press to yéyé (rock'n'roll) 45s.
